Barbecue

This play was based in realism as it involves addiction and how it affects the addict and the people closest to the addict. Since this was set in realism and had so many things happening on stage, I wanted to keep the lighting clean and real. In the first act, we are on a film set so I used actual film lights to create the atmosphere. Once we transitioned into the real park in act 2, I went back to my normal stage lighting fixtures and created a very long transition from an afternoon look to an evening look to help with passage of time. I was also able to create an award show atmosphere at the very end of the play with the use of stage electrics.
